Interview with Jorge Besson

This are the questions and answers I did with my friend Jorge.

Could you please define Engineering in your own words?

Engineering is the science of using ones own ideas and ingenuity to try and find simple or not so simple solutions to everyday problems

What influenced you to pursue Industrial Engineering?

The fact tgat and industrial engineer is what we venzuelans call a “torero” in translations in means a bull but in this case its a person that knows everything but masters none…In other ways We as industrial engineers must know everything but master none.

Could you please describe the educational process required to become an Engineer?

The process consits as any engineering of learning several equations and their application but unlike anytoher engineering we focus more on the production and quality control

What are the skills you need to be a good engineer?

You must be handy with numbers and above all think outside the box…We are trained to handle and come up wiht fast and appropiate solutions to problems

What job considerations were you looking for after you completed your education?

I want to work for an international company as maybe a project manager or project leader….Human resource department

What's something of your school life that you enjoy the most?

The chance to meet several people that think the same way that you do

From your perspective, what is the most difficult part of being an engineering student?

Training yourself to think diferently than other people do

What are your plans for the future?

Hopefully i will be working for Halliburton, or anytoher internationl company…and of course to live and work in Australia

The day that I passed Thermofluids and Potency Generation

Why would you recommend Engineering as a career?

Because its a career that will teach you about things that maybe you didnt know had an explanation

Interview about Informatical Engineering

Could you please define Engineering in your own words?

Engineering is the art of thing more than you can see, found solutions to problems and most important to adapt your filosphy of life to a possible solution.

What influenced you to pursue Informatical Engineering?

I became into a technical systems analist in 99, and since now i love th computers, the porgramming and the way you can satisfied issues in life with some mathematical instructions, Informatical engineering is the full understanding of computers.

Could you please describe the educational process required to become an Engineer?

You need to understand the way you can solve a problem in the most minimum steps, then you have to know all tjhe possibles solutions related to an issue and to develop the strategies to atact this problem.

What are the skills you need to be a good engineer?

Think out of the crystal box, be related to a mathematical way of thinking and to be a self-learner instead.

What job considerations were you looking for after you completed your education?

An international training in North-West Europe, in a open source company as Sun, Google, yahoo, ubuntu, red hat or things related.

What's something of your school life that you enjoy the most?

The opportunitty to make a mistake and to have the chance of learn about it without any corporative responsability.

From your perspective, what is the most difficult part of being an engineering student?

To have 3 test in one morning, a project next day and 3 test again the day after tomorrow.

What are your plans for the future?

I want to parcipate in an international program called AIESEC, and to work in North-West Europe as an open source programmer.

Point out your most personally gratifying moment in engineering school.

The day I crate a game based on codes, designed by myself and to test it with a full class with excellents recognitions.

Why would you recommend Engineering as a career?

Because yo will develop a lot of mathematicals, realistics, and philosophies skills.
